February Pea Exports Off on YearWINNIPEG - Mar 28/07 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports field exports in February totalled 124,400 metric tons (MT) through licensed terminal facilities, which are required to report to it all grain movement. This is down from the 132,800 MT shipped the same month last year and up from the 96,400 MT shipped the previous month. The CGC reports field pea exports so far during the 2006-07 marketing total 1,065,400 MT, down from 1,294,400 MT the first seven months of the previous season. Of total peas shipped in February, all moved through terminal elevators in Vancouver. So far this marketing year, exporters have shipped 852,900 MT from Vancouver; 65,600 MT via Churchill; 97,400 MT through facilities in Thunder Bay; 24,500 MT from Quebec; 24,800 MT out of Sorel; and 100 MT directly from western Canadian primary elevators.
