South Africa Slashes Bean ForecastVANCOUVER - Mar 27/07 - SNS -- Pulse production levels in South Africa are ending up significantly lower than initially expected, pointing to a solid increase in import demand for the coming year. In its latest crop production update, the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) slashed forecast dry edible bean output from 63,075 metric tons (MT) to just 46,970 in the face of significantly lower than expected yields.
