Lower Frozen Meat Stocks in U.S.WASHINGTON - Mar 22/07 - SNS -- Total red meat supplies in freezers dropped 20 million pounds in February to 956 million pounds, down 3% from the previous year, notes the USDA in its latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Frozen pork supplies inched lower during the month to 483.6 million pounds, down 8% from the previous year. Stocks of pork bellies were slightly below last month at 46.1 million pounds and down 22% from last year. Supplies of beef were up 2% from year earlier levels, rising almost 11 million pounds to 451.3 million pounds, down around 18 million pounds from the previous month.
