U.S. Hop Stocks JumpWASHINGTON - Mar 20/07 - SNS -- Inventories of hops in the United States jumped 23% above year earlier levels to total 85 million pounds as of March 1, according to the USDA. Stocks held by brewers, at 42.0 million pounds, were up 8% from a year ago, but were 2% less than March 1, 2005. Stocks held by growers and dealers on March 1, 2007 totaled 43.0 million pounds, 43% more than March 1, 2006, and 30% more than March 1, 2005.
