Birdseed Ingredients Mixed to Firmer
VANCOUVER - Mar 2/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredients finished the week on a mixed note under relatively light trading conditions.
U.S. millet markets showed the greatest strength during the week, advancing U.S. 50 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
There is likely some tendency by packagers to try to secure additional supplies of current crop millet in order to avoid potential problems securing millet in 2007-08.
