Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 1/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Nil.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A trough over inland New South Wales extends to the south coast. A ridge of high
pressure will persist over the southern Tasman Sea. This pattern will maintain
humid conditions over the eastern half of the  state for several days. A cooler,
drier change will move into the west of the state on Saturday, reaching the
coast late Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for Friday
Isolated thunderstorms along the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges.
Isolated showers remainder of the coast and over the northwest slopes and
plains.  Fine elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. Warm to hot inland,
milder along the coast. Northeast to southeast winds.
Fire danger: Locally very high Riverina and Lower Western
Forecast for Saturday
Fine apart from the chance of a shower in the northeast and also about the south
west slopes. Hot in the west, arm remainder. Northeast winds tending north to
northwest in the west ahead of a late southerly change in far west.
Forecast for Sunday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms about the southeast and northwest. Isolated
showers on the far north coast. Fine elsewhere. Hot inland ahead of a milder
southerly change extending through the west and south. Milder on the coast with
northeast winds freshening.
Forecast for Monday
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms central and southern coast, central
ranges and northwest. Isolated showers on the far north coast, fine elsewhere.
Northwest to northeast winds before a southerly change extends through much of
the state.
