French Field Pea Exports SlumpVANCOUVER - Feb 17/07 - SNS -- French field pea export activity slumped in December, dropping below both month and year earlier levels, according to the latest data assembled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP). Shipments during the month totalled just 17,145 metric tons (MT), compared to 43,490 in November and 20,565 the same month last year. An absence of shipments to the Indian subcontinent during the month accounted for the steep drop off in export port clearances.
