Tightening Supplies Support Edible BeansVANCOUVER - Feb 9/07 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets remain strong in the face of tightening stocks in major exporting regions and good demand from Middle eastern and North African destinations. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 898, up 6 points on the week; while the grower index finished 12 points higher at 826. The dealer index has averaged 831 points so far this season, up from just 717 points in 2005-06, but well below the 936 average recorded in 2004-05.
