Active Wheat Export MarketsCHICAGO - Feb 8/07 - SNS -- International wheat exports markets were active overnight, with Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan and Japan buying 377,000 metric tons (MT) of various origin wheat. The USDA's weekly export sales summary was released before U.S. futures markets opened this morning and the soybean sales number was higher than expected by traders at 803,200 MT. China was the largest buyer, taking 333,100 MT, followed by Mexico at 213,700. Soybean meal and oil exports were at the low end of trade expectations, with meal totalling 135,300 MT and soybean oil 2,900 MT. Wheat export sales were higher than expected at 842,600 MT, including 110,000 MT of new crop business. Weekly export corn sales were higher than expected at 917,300 MT.
