Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady in the south and in California.
By-products were steady to higher in the south and steady in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at 19.00-
19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 22.00-25.00; parboiled
rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-25.00; second heads were
steady; brewers were steady to 2.00 higher. Rice by-products: Offers for rice
bran were steady to 2.00 higher with tight supplies; millfeed was steady to 5.00
higher in a lightly tested trade; hulls were 3.00-5.00 higher in a very thin
test.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 25.00-26.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady
quoted mostly from 17.00; brewers were steady, quoted mostly from 14.75-15.00.
Rice bran was steady; rice hulls were steady.
