Demand Pulls Peas HigherVANCOUVER - Feb 2/07 - SNS -- Strong demand relative to the available supply of field peas is continuing to press current crop prices higher for all origins. Canadian field pea markets ended the week U.S. $5 per metric ton (MT) higher for both whole yellow and green peas against steady export inquiry and fill-in buying by shippers covering earlier business. Traders in both Canada and the United States hint at improved inquiry from the Indian subcontinent, which normally counts on Australia to bridge the gap until rabi season pulses are generally available.
