World Ag Markets BusierCHICAGO - Feb 1/07 - SNS -- International agriculture commodity markets saw a modest increase in trading activity, judging from the level of overnight activity. The USDA's weekly export sales estimated were released before U.S. futures markets opened today. Corn sales totalled 797,300 metric tons (MT) for the current crop and 1,500 MT for new crop for a total of 798,800, which was towards the upper end of trade expectations. Weekly soybean sales were higher than expected at 677,700 MT of current crop and 4,700 MT of new crop beans for a total of 682,400. Oil and meal sales were also higher than expected, Meal sales came in at 160,500 MT of current crop and 800 MT of crop for a total of 161,300. Oil sales were 37,300 MT.
