Edible Beans Maintain StrengthVANCOUVER - Jan 26/07 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their recent strength through the past week, with North American white bean markets advancing in light trade. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 909, up 14 points on the week; while the grower index finished 15 points higher at 811. An underlying concern is building in markets that an expected net increase in land in wheat, corn and soybeans will pull land out of edible bean production.
