U.S. Crude Oil Output Up in 2006WASHINGTON - Jan 25/07 - SNS -- Crude vegetable oil production through December of 2006 remained above the previous calendar year, according to data compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Census, though crush activity was down from the previous month. Increases were recorded for soybean and corn. while cottonseed is below year 2005. Crude soybean oil output was pegged at 20,404 million pounds for the year, up from 10,532 million in 2005; while corn oil output rose from 2,417 million to 2,546 million pounds and cotton seed oil slipped from 984 to 908 million pounds. The Census Bureau said oilseed crushers processed 4,685,890 short tons of soybeans in December, up from 4,652,901 tons in November. The month ended with 3,067.691 million pounds of soybean oil on hand, including 2,689.790 million pounds of crude and 351.675 million pounds of refined oil. Stocks on hand are down around 3.6 million pounds from November. During November, crushers processed 236,650 tons of cottonseed and 11,938 tons of peanuts.
