Mexican Chickpea Areas Report ColdVANCOUVER - Jan 19/07 - SNS -- North American field pea markets ended the week's trading mostly unchanged in relatively light export trading interest. Markets are worried about the status of crops in Mexico, with the northern part of the country having received some of the wintry weather which has devastated citrus and vegetable crops from California to Texas. Temperatures across Mexico are expected to remain above freezing in through January 25, but the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction is forecasting large tracts of the country will be under five degrees Celsius as temperatures fall six to eight degrees below normal for this time of year.
