White Beans Support ComplexVANCOUVER - Jan 19/07 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a generally firmer note, led higher by white beans. Markets for most calibers of white beans have strengthened considerably this season, while processors believe prices will need to remain strong through the 2007-08 marketing year to prevent a collapse in production. Markets were initially lifted by a smaller than desired white alubia bean harvest in Argentina and problems with China's crop.
