Birdseed Ingredient s Remain FirmVANCOUVER - Jan 19/07 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading little changed to firmer in light trading interest. Oil-type sunflower markets in the United States advanced in sympathy with soybeans, while confectionary sunflower markets were unchanged. New crop confectionary sunflower maintains a solid premium to current crop, with bids on larges $5 per 100 pounds (cwt) higher at $21 and bids to growers for smalls $3 higher at $13. Canadian canaryseed and U.S. white proso millet were also unchanged at the grower level. Canaryseed bids range up to CDN $17.50 cwt or U.S. $14.95 cwt for farmers dressed merchandise delivered western Canadian processing plants. Millet bids range up to U.S. $8.50 cwt.
