Field Peas Maintain StrengthVANCOUVER - Jan 5/07 - SNS -- Strength on international field pea markets carried over into the new year, supported by relatively good export demand and normal winter related transportation difficulties in western Canada. Exporters are looking at a steady flow of human consumption quality peas onto world markets this quarter, while feed pea demand remains stagnant. A seasonal slow down in grower deliveries and winter transportation problems in the mountain passes linking the Prairies and west coast ports are also helping support markets.
