Dairy Product Markets Mixed
WASHINGTON - Jan 5/07 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States closed the week ending December 30 with a mixed performance, shows the current USDA data.
Cheddar Cheese prices paid for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.30 per pound. The price per pound decreased 0.9 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.30 per pound, up 0.3 cents versus last week.
Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.21 per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 3.1 cents from the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices obtained for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.01 per pound. The U.S. price per pound decreased 3.3 cents versus the previous week.
