Parsley Grade Changes ProposedWASHINGTON - Dec 28/06 - SNS -- The USDA is proposing to change the way the percentage of defects in parsley are calculated from weight to count. It is seeking comments on the proposed revision to the U.S. Standards for Grades of Parsley. Current standards can be viewed at http://www.ams.usda.gov/standards/vegfm.htm. The request for comments was published in the Dec. 26, 2006, Federal Register. Comments must be received by Feb. 26, 2007, and should be mailed to Cheri L. Emery, AMS Fruit & Vegetable Programs, Room 1661-S, USDA Stop 0240, 1400 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, D.C. 20250-0240. In addition, copies of the notice are available from the same address.
