Canadian Poultry Placements Slip
OTTAWA - Dec 22/06 - SNS -- Placements of hatchery chicks onto farms dropped 3.8% from last year to an estimated 48.3 million birds in November, according to Statistics Canada.
Placements of turkey poults on farms increased 20.3% to 1.6 million birds.
