Catfish Feed Deliveries Increase On Year
WASHINGTON - Dec/06 - SNS -- NASS US Department of Agriculture Washington, D.C, according to this USDA report.
November 2006 Catfish Feed Deliveries Down 18% From Last Year
Total catfish feed delivered in the United States throughout November 2006 was 17,777 tons, down 18% from November 2005 and 69% below the previous month. Foodsize fish feed delivered totalled 16,948 tons, down 18% from the corresponding month a year ago.
Feed delivered for fingerlings and broodfish totalled 829 tons, down 30% from the corresponding month a year ago.
Catfish feed delivered to catfish growers during the January-November period totalled 769,191 tons, up 1% from the corresponding period in 2005. For this period 94% of the total feed delivered to catfish growers was for foodsize catfish.
