Manitoba Raises Milk Price GuaranteeWINNIPEG - Sep 30/01 - SNS -- Fluid milk prices in manitoba will rise effecte October 1 to reflect rising costs for dairy producers and processors says the Manitoba Milk Prices Review Commission. The maximum wholesale and retail prices for one-litre containers of homogenized milk will increase by two cents. The price for 2%, 1% and skim milk in one-litre containers will rise by one cent. "Higher costs for feed and herd replacement are placing significant pressures on the producers in Manitoba," said commission chair Dr. Daryl Kraft.
