Grower Holding Drives Canaryseed
VANCOUVER- Dec 15/06 - SNS -- Grower holding continued to drive Canadian canaryseed markets through the middle of December.
The unwillingness of growers to participate in markets does not surprise experienced market participants. Knowledgeable importers and exporters are very aware of the fact there can be a world of difference between the crop's overall fundamentals and those at the point where the rubber meets the road.
This is especially true of canaryseed, where long-term growers have a history of driving markets until "inners and outters" are drawn back into the commodity and supply-side fundamentals reassert themselves.
