Field Peas StrengthenVANCOUVER- Dec 15/06 - SNS -- Canadian field pea markets appear destined to finish the calendar year on a strong note, with renewed export demand lifting values for human consumption peas. India's decision earlier this month to extend the period during which pulses can be imported duty-free helped relax current crop markets. There were concerns the March 31 deadline would disrupt trade during the opening quarter of the calendar year.
