Shelled Eggs Broken DownWASHINGTON - Dec 7/06 - SNS -- Egg use by food manufacturers in the United States declined from year earlier levels in October, according to the USDA. Shell eggs broken totaled 169 million dozen during October 2006, down 4% from October a year ago, but 1% above the 167 million broken last month. During calendar year 2006 through October, shell eggs broken totaled 1.70 billion dozen, down 1% from the comparable period in 2005.
