LITTLE ROCK - Dec 4/06 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

   Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

                             Domestic Situation

   Domestic milled rice price quotes were mostly steady in the south and in
California. By-products were mostly steady in the south and in California.

   In the south, long grain rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at 19.00-
19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 22.00-25.00; parboiled
rice prices were mostly steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-25.00; second heads
were steady; brewers were steady. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were
steady to instances 5.00 lower with tight supplies. Millfeed was steady in a
lightly tested trade; hulls were steady in a very thin test with increased
availability in the short term.

   In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 24.00-25.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady
quoted mostly from 17.50-18.00; brewers were steady quoted mostly from 14.00-
16.50. Rice bran was steady to 3.00 lower; rice hulls were steady.
