Feed Pea Need More BuzzVANCOUVER - Dec 1/06 - SNS -- The world's feed pea market was strengthened during the past week as markets strove to reach prices which will be supported by growers. However, compound feed manufacturers in Europe and Spain are not keen to reach to acquire new supplies. While world markets for corn and other key feed ingredients are strong, supplies of protein meals and grain by-products will becoming more abundant as bio-energy production capacity increases. This is expected to keeping markets well stocked with cheap ingredients. In theory, this should improve marketing opportunities for products such as peas as a source of energy, essential amino acids and sometimes protein in feed formulations. But, that requires marketing across all levels of the supply chain -- including growers and local processors, who play a key role in telling their story to local users in an effort to create buzz for the commodity.
