Modest Gains in Poultry Placements
OTTAWA - Nov 27/06 - SNS -- Placements of hatchery chicks onto Canadian farms were estimated at 56.7 million birds in October up 0.6% from October 2005, according to Statistics Canada.
Placements of turkey poults on farms increased 13.5% to 1.5 million birds.
