Canaryseed Eases, Millet AdvancesVANCOUVER - Nov 24/06 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets continued to register a mixed performance during the past week. Canadian canaryseed eased slightly on inter-dealer markets against slack demand even though average grower bids were up on the week. By contrast, white proso millet markets in the United States were somewhat firmer on the week. Oil-type sunflower markets were up in sympathy with the oilseed complex, while confectionary sunflower markets held steady. New crop bids remain at a premium to spot, with new crop larges bid U.S. $21 per 100 pounds (cwt), versus $16 on spot markets; and new crop smalls bid $12 cwt, versus $10 on spot markets.
