MELBOURNE - Sep 24/02 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
For the rest of today and Thursday. WARNING SUMMARY: A Severe Thunderstorm Advice has been issued for the South East district this afternoon. A Gale Warning is current for the South Central and South East coasts, with a Strong Wind warning for the Gulf Waters and for south of Elliston on the West Coast. SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Scattered showers over the southern Agricultural areas, becoming isolated from the west later today and contracting to southern coasts on Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms near southern coasts today, clearing by evening. Fine further inland apart from isolated thundery showers over the far northeast. Cool days in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Northwest to southwest winds,
