USDA Buys for 3,560 MT Peas
KANSAS CITY - Nov 9/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 3,560 metric tons (MT) of whole and split yellow and green peas.
In announcing results for PL-480 food aid tender 116B, the USDA noted it was unable to buy the full quantity sought because there were no offers for 2,360 MT of green split peas.
The peas were bought for shipment from origin between December 6 and December 27 or from plants located at port between December 27 and January 20.
