Feed Peas Mixed in Light TradeVANCOUVER - Nov 3/06 - SNS -- International feed pea markets managed a mixed finish during the week, with reluctant grower selling limiting supplies available in most major markets. Strong food pea markets and steady demand from the Indian subcontinent is keeping growers disinterested in participating in feed markets. Also, good quality harvests in North America has limited the volume of peas which must be sold as feed. Some market participants are concerned about this year's situation, which also includes a significant drop in Australian lupin export potential. The problem is other pulses will not fill the void left by the short Australian crop and feed manufacturers are reminded that pulse production is volatile and can readily fall below the combined needs of human and livestock markets.
