Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 22/02 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Pattern
A low pressure system will persist in southern NSW on Monday while a high
pressure system moves to the south of Victoria. A cold front will cross the
Bight to move through Victoria on Tuesday with another front crossing the State
on Wednesday. Another front will move in to the Bight on Thursday.    
Victoria
Monday:    Fine apart from morning fog and drizzle patches in the south and
isolated thundery showers in the far northeast in the afternoon.  A mild and
mostly sunny day with light wind and afternoon seabreezes. 
UV Index: 5 [High] reduced to 2 [moderate] under cloud. 
Tuesday:   Mild to warm before a cooler southwesterly change with showers
extends from the west.
Wednesday: Showers, mainly in the west and about the ranges. Mild to warm. 
Thursday:  Generally fine and mild.

Fine. Morning cloud then a mostly sunny day with light wind tending moderate
south to southeasterly.

Monday:    Variable wind 5 to 10 knots shifting south to southeasterly at 10 to
15 knots in the afternoon. Waves around half a metre.
Tuesday:   Northeast to northerly wind freshening to 15 to 20 knots before
shifting west to southwesterly at 15 to 20 knots later in the day.
Wednesday: North to northwesterly wind freshening to 15 to 20 knots. 
Thursday:  North to northwesterly wind 15 to 20 knots easing to 10 to 15 knots.
