CGC Details September Pea ShipmentsWINNIPEG - Nov 2/06 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 346,000 metric tons (MT) of field peas were exporters through licensed terminal facilities, which are required to report to it all grain movement. This is nearly double the 169,000 MT shipped the same month last year and up from the 65,700 MT shipped in August. The CGC reports field pea exports so far during the 2006-07 marketing total 411,800 MT, up from 388,300 MT the first two months of the previous season. Of total peas shipped in September, 268,700 MT moved through terminal elevators in Vancouver; 20,200 MT through facilities in Thunder Bay; 45,600 MT via Churchill; and 11,400 MT out of Sorel.
