Generally Firmer Finish For BirdseedsVANCOUVER - Oct 27/06 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were generally firmer during the past week. Limited supplies of new crop white proso millet in the United States continues to support grower and inter-dealer markets. Grower bids in the U.S. midwest advanced another U.S. 25 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) on the week to finish at $8.75 cwt for farmers dressed product delivered elevators; while inter-dealer markets advanced to a defensive $9.75 on the week.
