Mixed Performance in Beans
VANCOUVER - Oct 27/06 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets continue to register a mixed performance as China's capacity to market beans in 2006 is better known.
The country appears to be short of white and speckled beans, but to have abundant supplies of black beans. The net result is other origins are experiencing a surge in demand for white beans.
This is most obvious if Algeria, which is coping with an absence of offers from China and a sold-out condition in Egypt.
