Dairy Product Markets Mixed
WASHINGTON - Oct 20/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States closed the week ending October 14 with a mixed performance, shows the latest USDA report.
Cheddar Cheese prices received for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.25 per pound. The price per pound declined 1.4 cents versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.27 per pound, down 3.0 cents from last week.
Butter prices received for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.29 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose 1.2 cents versus the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 89.4 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 0.9 cents compared to last week.
