Harvest progress was slower than expected by the industry, with markets expected 35% of the corn to have been in the bin by the beginning of the week. Winter wheat planting progress as of October 8 stood at 69% complete compared to 54% last week and 68% last year. The 16 year average planting progress for this time of year is 67%.
