Ukraine's Corn Exports Up in 2005-06KIEV - Oct 4/06 - APK -- According to the preliminary data in 2005/06 (October-September) Ukraine exported about 2.46 million metric tons (MT) of maize. This is up 5% from the 2.34 million MT exporters the previous season, reported APK-Inform referring to Customs data. Such countries as Spain, Libya, Belarus, Russia and Israel became five largest importers of Ukrainian maize. Each country imported more than 200,000 MT of this grain. In September 2006 Ukraine exported 8,380 MT of maize at the average price U.S. $147 MT.
