Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes in the south were steady; in California
steady. By-products were uneven, near steady in the south; steady in
California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at 19.00-
19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 22.00; parboiled rice
prices were steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-25.00; second heads were steady to
instances 1.00 higher, quoted mostly at 12.00; brewers were steady to 1.50
higher. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were uneven, near steady with
very tight supplies and a thinly tested market. Wide price ranges continue for
nominal bran supplies, Arkansas quoted mostly at 68.00-70.00, Texas 90.00.
Millfeed was 2.00-3.00 higher in a lightly tested trade; hulls were steady.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 23.00-24.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady;
brewers were steady to 25 cents higher. Rice bran was steady; rice hulls were
steady.
