Beans Mostly Higher in Light TradeVANCOUVER - Sep 29/06 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading mostly higher against limited availability of new crop product from processors in the United States. This year's harvest is advancing slowly in the United States, keeping available supplies on markets behind the needs of buyers. This has allowed prices for most classes of beans to advance at the inter-dealer level even as grower bids have remained mostly unchanged on the week. This is reflected in a 28 point advance in the spot index for dealer beans to 802, while the grower index is only up three points at 684.
