Ship Runs Aground in VancouverVANCOUVER - Sep 25/06 - SNS -- The Krateros has run aground in Vancouver after an apparent mechanical problem. The ship was in the port picking up 42,000 metric tons (MT) of field peas. Initial reports suggest the vessel's hull was not ruptured and tugs were working hard to pull the vessel off the sand bar near Stanley Park, where it is blocking access to Burrard Inlet.
