Canola Crush Jumps, Soy EasesWINNIPEG - Sep 6/02 -- STAT -- The Canadian Oilseed Processors Association (COPA) reports weekly crush in that country totalled 56,100 metric tons (MT) of canola and 29,749 MT of soybeans during the week ending September 11. The numbers, as reported to the association by member firms, jumped 47.9% from last week's level for canola, while slipping 1.3% on the week for soybean. So far this marketing year, 270,697 MT of canola has been crushed, down from 294,404 for the same period last year. Soybean crush since the August 1 start of the 2002-03 marketing year totals 193,742 MT, just behind of the 194,791 MT crushed during the same period last year.
