Little Change in BirdseedsVANCOUVER - Sep 15/06 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were little changed in light trade during the past week. Good progress was registered with harvest activity in parts of the United States, while wet weather part of the week impeded progress in western Canada. Canadian growers are not eager sellers of new crop canaryseed, keeping supplies available to the market in line with immediate needs, but slightly behind the loner term needs of packagers. It remains to be seen, however, how quickly this will translate into improved bids at the grower level and a stronger inter-dealer market.
