Canadian Oilseed Stocks SurgeOTTAWA - Sep 12/06 - SNS -- Oilseed supplies were sharply higher in western Canada at the end of the 2005-06 marketing year, according to Statistics Canada. The season ended with a record high supply of canola on hand, with Statistics Canada pegging it at 2.0 million metric tons (MT), up 27.2% from 2005 and not far off the record high of 2.2 million MT set in 2000. Increases were reported in commercial stocks and at the Canada farm level, the result of record production in 2005.
