VANCOUVER - Sep 8/06 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week on a mixed note, with values for white beans continuing to escalate and some classes of colored beans experiencing selling pressure.
Argentine white alubia bean markets continue to advance on news of a short white bean crop in China and reports Egypt is essentially sold out of beans.
This is driving demand from the Middle East and Algeria toward Argentine white alubia beans, resulting in upward price momentum.
