For Thursday WARNINGS: Strong wind warning for NSW coastal waters north of Smokey Cape. STATE FORECAST Showers about coastal areas north of the Illawarra contracting to the north of the Hunter during the morning. Early frost elsewhere, then a dry day. Cool about the coast and ranges with moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh about the far north, tending easterly during the afternoon. Cold at first inland, then a mild mostly sunny day with light east to northeast winds. This forecast is issued daily at 05.15, 1120 and 16.30.
