USDA Buys for 15,770 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Sep 7/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 15,770 metric tons (MT) of pulses. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 096 bought the pulses for shipment from inland plants between October 6 and 27 or from plants located at port between October 27 and November 20. Prices paid on the tender were up for whole yellow peas, but down for lentils and split yellow peas, compared to prices paid by the USDA during August.
