Vietnam Rice Remains FirmHANOI - Sep 7/06 - SNS -- Rice markets in Vietnam continued to increase through the past week, marking three weeks of rising values, notes the U.S. agricultural attache here in an update on the market. "The local paddy price has increased VND50/kg over the past week and VND150/kg in the past 3 weeks. Strong demand from export markets has helped both local and export prices to rise "Rice exporters are now looking at some good opportunities to sell huge quantities of to their traditional markets where Vietnam has a price advantage," the U.S. agricultural attache said.
